Large Group Training
High-Energy Training With Our World-Class Community
You want the casual, high-energy feel of a large group class — with a coach leading every minute of it. Show up, plug in, and let the room carry you through the work.
Large Group Is Built For You If…
- You feed off the energy of a room
Some people train best with music up and a crew around them. Large group gives you that lift-you-up atmosphere while a coach runs the whole session.
- You want structure without the spotlight
Every class is fully coach-led — you never have to invent a workout — but you blend into the group and go at your own pace. No one's hovering, and no one's lost.
- You're here for the people as much as the workout
Members call The Lift their family for a reason. Friendships from these classes have lasted years — and they're a big part of why people keep showing up.
- You want a workout that just works
The programming comes from the same place as our small group training: decades of coaching experience, built for adults 40+ who want to get strong safely.
What A Session Looks Like
Check in & warm up
Walk in, drop your things, and jump into a group warm-up that gets everyone ready for the day's training — together.
Coach-led strength training
Your coach runs the room through the day's program, demonstrating every movement and helping you pick the right weight. You're never guessing — just working.
Push with the group
This is where large group shines. The energy of the room pulls more effort out of you than you'd ever find training alone — and every exercise still scales to your level.
Wrap up
Finish strong, catch your breath with people who just did the same work you did, and head out feeling like you've already won the day.

“I've met great people and made lifelong friends here who have helped me keep strong all of these years. I truly consider everyone at The Lift to be my family.”
Coached By People Who’ve Done This For Decades.

Every session at The Lift is led by a coach, and the programming behind it comes from co-owner Matt Jennings — a personal trainer since 1993 with NASM, AAFP, and NSCA certifications and thousands of clients coached. Co-owner Kathy Jennings coaches alongside him and personally helps every new member find their footing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will I be able to keep up?
Yes. Every exercise in a large group class scales to your level — your coach helps you choose weights and variations that match where you are today. Nobody gets left behind, and nobody gets thrown in the deep end.
Do I need experience with strength training?
No. Your coach demonstrates every movement and keeps an eye on the room throughout the class. If you’re brand new, your first session is a friendly assessment — see Your First Session for exactly what to expect.
How is large group different from small group training?
Both are fully coach-led strength training. Small group is capped at 6 with individually tracked progress; large group trades some of that individual attention for a bigger, higher-energy room at a friendlier price. Many members try both before settling on a favorite.
Is it competitive?
Only in the best way. The room’s energy is motivating, not intimidating — you’re training alongside neighbors in their 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond, all working on the same thing: getting stronger.
